The Redemption of Elva Keene, Part 1

Property of the Federal Bureau of Investigation:
The ongoing investigation into Project: Sumo yields no clues as to the whereabouts of one Dr. Thomas Mittelwerk. However, evidence does link the suspect and his exploits to another project referred to as the Spider Protocol. This protocol employs the use of a ship known as the Helgus Antonious. Investigating the Mittelwerk’s financial backers, the Antonius has been linked to the missing freighter named Kahana, which never returned after leaving port from Suva, Fiji. Locals do not know or “cannot recall” what the supply vessel was used for but many witnessed firearms and explosives being loaded onto the freighter.

The findings merit further investigation, though only a single piece of evidence was found at a local subsidiary of Widmore Industries near the Fiji port. What was found was a recorded phone call that is suspected to have come from Oceanic Flight 815 on the day of the crash. Elva Keene speaks with her mother on the onboard phone just moments before the fateful incident. The transcript of the conversation is submitted below. Please note: Dashed marks represent words or phrases that could not be made out due to the poor quality of the recording.

Operator: Saint Sebastian ICU, how can I help you?

Elva: Hi. I’m Elva Keene. My mother’s a patient there and I’d like to speak with her, please.

Operator: Of course. What’s your mother’s name?

Elva: Laurie Keene and her doctor’s Dr. Brian Douglas.

Operator: P--lease, --hold-- a moment.

Elva: Hello?

[A loud boom is heard, presumably only turbulence at this point.]

Laurie: Hello?

Elva: Mom? Hey, it’s ---.

Laurie: Who?

Elva: ---- your daughter… Elva!

[A louder noise interrupts followed by some voices of concern in the background.]

Elva: I’m on my way home--- want --- fix everything.

Laurie: You will--- Go inside while--- you’ll be safe if--- inside.

Elva: There’s --- turbulence--- breaking up--- got to go. Tell--- I’m coming. I love you.

[A crashing sound dominates followed by what is assumed to be ripping of the fuselage and a mysterious humming. There is a third sound that cannot be identified.]

Elva: OH, MY GOD!!! THE PLANE IS---- [Static]

Tonya’s Blog- Happy Endings....

If you’ve been living under a rock for the past few days then maybe you should Google the Oceanic Six. It’s an inspiring story with a happy ending that I’m sure even DJ Dan could appreciate.

On September 22, 2004 Oceanic Flight 815 went missing en route to Los Angeles from Sydney, Australia. All 324 passengers were presumed to be dead until January 7, 2004 when six survivors washed onto the shores of an Indonesian Island called Sumba. Their plane was recently found in the Sunda Trench by a boat named the Christiane I. It is reported that currents brought them from the crash site to the small uncharted island of Membata, just southwest of the coast of Sumba. The Oceanic’s six survivors are listed as follows:

1. Dr. Jack Shephard: Spinal surgeon at San Sebastian Hospital. Hometown: Los Angeles, CA

2. Hugo Reyes: Famed Lottery winner before the crash. Hometown: Los Angeles, CA

3. Katherine Austen: Fugitive, alleged crimes committed yet to be released. Hometown: Ames, IA

4. Aaron Austen: Five-week old child of Katherine Austen. Born on the island of Membata.

5. Sayid Jarrah: Former Communications Officer for Iraq Republic Guard. Hometown: Tikrit, Iraq

6. Sun-Hwa Kwon: Daughter of Paik Heavy Industries C.E.O. Hometown: Seoul, South Korea

A representative for Oceanic Airlines, Karen Decker, spoke of the company’s offer of a” Golden Ticket” to be given to each passenger granting them free flights anywhere for life. It should be noted that Dr Jack Shephard mentions three other passengers that died before the six left the island of Membata.
